
Ian King has been a journalist on national newspapers and television for more than thirty years. He is currently business presenter for Sky News and has hosted more than two thousand live editions of the channel's flagship business programme, Business Live, quizzing the biggest names in business, finance and economics and holding business leaders, politicians and regulators to account.
Ian has interviewed two-thirds of FTSE-100 chief executives, three Bank of England governors and prime ministers from around the world. Renowned for his incisive interviews and acute analysis, Ian’s expertise ensures his coverage is relevant to the viewer, explaining how actions in business will affect people’s lives.

Starting out as a business analyst at Midland Bank which would form HSBC before embarking on his journalism career at the Daily Telegraph, Ian went on to The Guardian and then the Mail on Sunday, before joining The Sun as Business Editor in 2000. Whilst there he was named Business Journalist of the Year both at the UK Press Awards and at the London Press Club Awards. Ian went on to become Business and City Editor at The Times, during which the section he edited was honoured at the UK Press Awards.
